6 Months

Dear Maddy,

You are 6 months old, kiddo! I thought I'd document a few tidbits about you at this stage:

- Everywhere we go people stop and comment on your full head of gorgeous hair! I cut about an inch off a few months ago and it's already touching your shoulders when it's wet and combed straight. It has gotten a lot lighter from when you were born, but we're not really sure what color it will end up being. There are blondes, reds, and browns all in there right now! I personally think it'll be a strawberry blonde color, but we'll see.

- You are rolling around now which is so fun to watch!

- You can sit up, but you don't like to unless I'm sitting behind you or nearby.

- You have two little bottom teeth that came through a few weeks ago. They are so sharp!

- You are such a happy baby. Every time we come to get you out of your crib you squeal and look up with the biggest smile like you've just won the lottery. I'd like to think it's because you know we're the coolest parents ever, but you're probably just an exceptionally happy little spirit.

- You are such a good eater. You've tried carrots, sweet potatoes, peas (which you hated thank goodness), spinach, pears, bananas, apples, cucumbers, red and green peppers, rice cereal, and probably a few other things your dad has snuck in there.

- You get so excited every day when Daddy comes home. When he has to work at night, we FaceTime with him on the phone and you giggle and smile the whole time.

- You still love bath time, especially taking baths with mama.

- You like to have a good giggle fit before bed. Your dad and I make absolute fools of ourselves just to see you laugh!

- You sleep pretty well, usually from 7:30 or 8:00 pm until 6:00 in the morning. Daddy gets up with you in the morning so I can sleep a little longer (find yourself a good man like Daddy!). He says that he loves having that alone time with you in the morning. He feeds you, changes you, and reads scriptures with you while he eats his breakfast before work. You sit in your exersaucer mesmerized while he does his workout. Then he brings you to me and we snuggle in bed a little bit before we get up and play.

- You are the absolute light of our lives. You make us laugh and smile all day.

We love you, little peanut.

Be good.

Mama.
