Thanksgiving With The Becks
For Thanksgiving this year we had a very special visit from nine of our favorite people on the planet. My sister, Kami, and her family recently moved to Ohio. Being a mere 7 hours (gasp) from New York, we managed to convince them to come to our neck of the woods for Thanksgiving. We didn't have much to offer in terms of square footage accommodations, but luckily our good friends offered to let Kami's family stay at their place while they were out of town (thank you Durhams!!!)
We had such a great time seeing the sights and celebrating Turkey Day together. I have a gazillion pictures I need to sort through and little drive to tackle the job, so a few snippets will have to suffice.
We woke up early on Thanksgiving and headed into the city for the famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Somehow....nary a photo was captured of this expedition.
We went to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the 9/11 Memorial.
Grand Central with its neon lights.
The Ralph Lauren Mansion, where Kami's friend designed the beautifully creative display windows.
Window displays on Fifth Avenue.
Dylan's Candy Bar, FAO Shwartz, and Lego Land were the highlights for the little ones.
After 7 kids, still in love :)
Crazy subway rides...
And a quick photoshoot by the Brooklyn Bridge.
We often feel so isolated from our family out West, so it's nice to have some fellow East Coasters with us now! We're excited to get together more frequently when we move to Pennsylvania next year. Love you Beck Family! Thanks for coming to visit!
