As Luck Would Have It
Quick updates in camera phone style.
Several weeks ago we randomly received Tribeca Film Festival tickets from a celebrity PR firm that works with my company. We got red carpet access and saw the actors of the new movie, Struck By Lightning. Basically the entire cast of Glee was there and we got to sit a few rows away from none other than Emma Watson. I was a little start struck, I'll be honest. So much fun!
We also got tickets from my work to go see the Yankees game. I love baseball games. Sure, they're long and certainly not as action-packed as a football or basketball game. But I love the smell of the grass, the lights, and delicious hot dogs with a side of cherry coke.
I tell you I need to start buying lottery tickets or something this year, because I'm on a serious lucky streak. I was looking at what concerts are in NYC this summer and saw that the Ingrid Michaelson concert was sold out. A banner ad said that they were giving away two free tickets to anyone who sent them an email saying why they wanted to go. I took two seconds to send the email and completely forgot about it, thinking there was no way I would win. A few weeks later I got an email saying that I won. I took my co-worker Tania along with me. We had a great time! Boy do I love that Ingrid...and she lives here in Brooklyn! Who knew?
